Overview
Scott applies his student accounts background and technical expertise to assist ECG clients with improving their financial aid and student accounts operations.
Highlights of Consulting Projects
Scott recently assisted with an extensive data-gathering project for a large university client, using CampusVue to analyze financial aid and student accounts data. He also used Banner to complete verifications, package students, and certify and originate Direct Loans for a private college; and he reviewed and made staffing recommendations for a school whose student accounts staff person was retiring after 30 years.
Scott's additional accomplishments since joining ECG in 2007 include:
| • | Developed training materials and led cash management training sessions for financial aid and student accounts staff. |
| • | Created student accounts office policies and procedures manual. |
| • | Served as interim director of student accounts at a large private university. |
| • | Assisted with Banner implementation (accounts receivable functions). |
| • | Developed an extensive website plan for a student accounts office. |
Scott is also the recipient of an Evans quarterly award based on his excellent client services.
Previous Experience and Skills
During his 15-year tenure at St. John Fisher College, Scott held positions as fiscal manager, loan administrator, and associate bursar. In these roles, Scott was responsible for:
| • | Managing the receipt and disbursement of payments. |
| • | Creating and maintaining the bursar's website. |
| • | Tracking and reconciling student loan records and petty cash funds. |
| • | Managing the disbursement and returns of grant and loan funds. |
| • | Supervising and training professional staff. |
| • | Participating in multiple work teams for Banner Users Group, Administrative Technology and the Banner Student Work Team. |
