Overview
With more than 17 years of financial aid experience, Margo brings a solid background and knowledge base to her role as a consultant for ECG. She is proficient with many student information systems (SIS), including Banner, PeopleSoft, and SIS PLUS; and she brings a collaborative approach to working with all levels of institutional personnel.
In her recent engagement work, Margo has participated on consulting teams conducting operational reviews for ECG clients, which have included a review of Banner setup and workflow. She has also provided training for Banner version releases and developed recommendations for process improvements.
Key Experience and Skills
Prior to joining ECG in 2007, Margo was a Banner financial aid consultant for SunGard Higher Education. She defined implementation project plans, provided production support with testing and monitoring of client-defined values, and facilitated strategic consultation with clients on policies and procedures. Additionally, she assisted client IT staff in the conversion of legacy data and the development of data repositories and other reporting solutions.
Margo has also held financial aid positions at several institutions, including Winston-Salem State University, Fischer Technical Institute, Johnson and Wales University, and Tidewater Community College. As an assistant director of financial aid, she gained experience supervising and training staff on a number of financial aid and student accounts processes. She was also responsible for batch processing FAFSA applications and ISIR corrections through EDconnect, and reviewing and approving financial aid appeals.
Highlights of Accomplishments
Margo has assisted several ECG clients with Banner implementation and other systems-related solutions. She is also pursuing her doctor of philosophy degree.
