Overview
Heidi joined ECG as a consultant in 2008.  Her flexibility and willingness to adapt to the changing needs of institutions have proven to be key assets for ECG clients.  In addition, her efficiency in performing consulting assignments assists schools in meeting important operational deadlines.

Most recently, Heidi served as interim director during an extended consulting assignment for a private college, where she provided oversight for the financial aid, student accounts, and registrar areas.
Key Experience and Skills
Heidi's financial aid work experience prior to joining ECG includes positions at the University of Central Florida and Johnson & Wales University.  In these roles she:
Worked with admissions staff to promote enrollment and retention initiatives;
Counseled students and parents about the financial aid process, and made presentations at orientation and other campus events;
Wrote and updated university publications related to financial aid, including a training manual for new staff;
Implemented procedures for monitoring financial aid funds and awarded institutional scholarships; and
Participated in the operation and administration of a coordinated service center for financial aid, student accounts, and registrar (i.e., a one-stop shop).

Heidi has experience with multiple computer systems, including Banner, Datatel, PeopleSoft, Regent, and other systems.
Highlights of Accomplishments
Since joining ECG in 2008, Heidi has worked successfully on multiple projects for ECG clients.  Highlights of her consulting work include:
Assisting the controller with preparing data and statements for the yearly A-133 and fiscal audits;
Completing reports for regional accrediting agencies;
Preparing and submitting federal reports on behalf of a school client, including the Program Participation Agreement (PPA) and the Fiscal Operations Report (FISAP);
Implementing nonterm awarding processes based on the academic offerings of an accelerated and professional studies program;
Performing verification for two- and four-year public institutions, including the resolution of conflicting information;
Preparing written documentation needed for a state audit at a large four-year public institution;
Providing financial aid staffing support for a four-year public institution, including awarding of federal grants and summer processing;
Developing process improvements for both verification and loan processing; and
Creating and updating financial aid policies and procedures manuals.
